Timmelsjoch – Passo del Rombo
The Timmelsjoch links the Oetztal Valley with the Passeiertal Valley in South Tyrol and was an important trade route for centuries. Travelling along the road which was opened here in 1968, it is clear how tiring it must have been to make the journey on foot! Various accessible stations along the way document the history of the Timmelsjoch. The pass road is only open in summer.
