Hiking in Soelden in the Tyrol

The diversity of the Oetztal Valley
There are a total of 1,600 km of footpaths on offer in the Oetztal Valley. Whether you fancy a leisurely walk in Soelden and its surroundings, a glacier hike or a mountain tour of one of the 3,000 m peaks: the Oetztal Valley is a hiking region more diverse than any other.
Soft green valleys give way to dense forests and craggy landscapes above the tree line, topped with the eternal ice of the glaciers: the Oetztal Valley offers hiking routes to suit every taste.
Hiking on the glacier in Soelden
The impressive glaciers, the Rettenbachferner and Tiefenbachferner, are the crowning feature of any hiking holiday in the Oetztal Valley. Relics from the last Ice Age and the landscape that was then formed are among the most striking Alpine structures. A glacier walk with an experienced mountain guide can be a very educational – and striking – excursion.
Hiking with a mountain guide
The Oetztal Alps are among the highest mountains in North Tyrol – including predominantly the Wildspitze at 3,774 m. These can be explored with the aid of an experienced mountain guide from the Oetztal region. A certain degree of fitness and mountain experience however is required. We would be happy to help you choose a suitable tour and the right mountain guide to suit you.
